You may find that some of your transactions – probably the most recent ones– are marked “Authorised” in the app.
If a transaction is marked “Authorised”, this means that the payment has been agreed between the parties, but the money hasn't actually changed hands yet, as it were. That last part is known as settlement and it usually happens within a day or two after authorisation. During this in-between state, we show the transaction as “Authorised”. In some cases it may take a bit longer to clear, but an authorised transaction will always be settled at some point; it’s only in very exceptional cases that it won't clear.
Transactions marked “Authorised” in the app aren't included when you export your transactions to a CSV file. Once “Authorised” has cleared from a transaction, it will be included.
